Karnataka State Rifle Association Civilian Rifle Training Course
Karnataka State Rifle Association conducts Civilian Rifle Training Course for the people interested in learning shootings. It is a basic introductory course in safe-handling and use of shooting equipment, in various disciplines. The course introduces civilians to various techniques of shooting, rules to be obeyed for safe gun handling, and the safety measures which should be followed in the range while shooting etc. This course has been made mandatory by the Commissioner of Police, Bangalore, for procurement of Arms License. On completion of the course, a certificate will be issued by KSRA. This course is mandatory for K.S.R.A. membership.
Who can join Civilian Rifle Course?
A person who is above 12 years of age and is resident of Karnataka for minimum of 2 years, a person above the age of 18 years should get the police verification done and can only join the course if we get all clear report from Commissioner / Superintendent of Police, Karnataka.
What is the duration of the course?
The course consists of Six (6) Classes on the weekend i.e. Friday, Saturday Sunday. Each session is approx. 2 hours.
What is the Cost for the Course?
At present the cost for the Civilian Rifle Training course is Rs.10,148/- (Ten Thousand one hundred forty eight) inclusive of GST, Ammunition & other consumable cost will be extra.

Karnataka State Rifle Association has recently started a Basic Foundation course in Air Rifle & Air Pistol for student from 10 – 12 years. The course consists of Eight (8) class for 4 weekends i.e. Saturday & Sunday. The cost for this course is Rs 5000/- (Five Thousand only) inclusive of GST, Ammunition & other consumables.
